3 people shot overnight in Greektown
DETROIT (FOX 2) - Three people were hurt overnight in a shooting near Greektown Casino.
The shooting happened just after midnight Monday near Beaubien and Monroe. Police say two of the men were walking and told police they heard shots in the crowd and started running, and then realized they felt pain and had both been shot.
Both were taken to the hospital in stable condition. A third man was shot in the foot and was taken privately to the hospital, where he's also in table condition.
Police say the victims are all men in their early 20s or early 30s. Names have not been given.
Police say the suspect was wearing a blue coat with the hood up, dark pants and white tennis shoes.
Police haven't given a reason for why the shooting may have happened.
Just last month it was announced Detroit police would be stepping up patrols in Greektown for the warmer months.
