Families of Kenneth Hall and Bernice Clark demand justice

(WJBK) - Today the family of a slain security guard gathered for a balloon release to remember his life. 

50-year old Kenneth hall was working his first night on the job at the Phillip Sims Senior Apartments on Detroit’s east side when he was shot and killed. 

66-year old Bernice Clark was also shot and killed, her family also in attendance to show support. 

Tuesday night police say the suspect, James Fleming, snorted coke with a woman, then tried to sexually assault her. He got a gun then killed Hall and Clark.

Since then he has been on the run.

He’s tall with a slim build, has light skin complexion, short gray hair and was wearing all black at the time of the incident. 

The victim’s family wants the suspect caught but today was about remembering the innocent lives lost. 

“It’s just a matter of time before they get him, I don’t have nothing to say to him, it’s not about him right now, it’s about our family right now, I’ll let the police deal with him. Right now it’s about these two families that are dealing with a death, that’s what it’s about,” Kenneth Robinson said, nephew of Bernice Clark. 

Police say he is driving a dark blue 2001 Chrysler town and country with the license plate 2E58Y0, with Tennessee plates.
