Scott Wolchek
Scott Wolchek loves getting involved in the community and telling stories. He grew up in Oakland County and first appeared on FOX 2 while testing out a Chia Pet in a Fame or Shame segment with his dad.
Scott graduated from Oakland University and previously reported at WILX in Lansing and WNEM in Saginaw and Flint. Some of Scott’s favorite stories he’s told include a WWII veteran who loved electric guitar, helping a woman remove a blighted garage before it toppled onto her home, and a circus company that was overstocked with corn dog sticks and prizes throughout the pandemic.
In his free time, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife, who is a news producer (it runs in the family) and his Labrador retriever, Harley.
His hobbies include reading, writing, playing the keyboard, video editing and exploring. Some of his favorite books include A Clockwork Orange, Remains of the Day, The Sound and the Fury.
Scott often speaks with future journalists and public relations professionals at Oakland University to help provide guidance and inspiration.
