Anchor/Reporter

I describe myself as just a regular guy from the neighborhood who happens to have a really cool job. I began at FOX 2 as an intern in May, 1999 working in the sports department. Sports has been a passion of mine ever since I can remember. When I realized I wasn’t going to be a professional athlete, working in sports television was something I always wanted to do but never really thought it was going to be a reality. I went to the University of Michigan and graduated with a degree in Economics figuring I had to be "realistic" about what I was going to do when I grew up. During my time at Michigan I realized that I couldn’t do anything for a living that I didn’t enjoy. I got an internship at Fox 2 and the rest is history.

Without ever taking one broadcasting or journalism class, I learned everything I could that summer and upon graduation, I landed my first job at 9 and 10 News in Cadillac, Mich. After one year in Cadillac, my next move was at the Fox station in Toledo, Ohio. Then in 2003, I was hired full time to work in the sports department at FOX 2 and have been here ever since. During my time here, I’ve covered a World Series, Super Bowl, Stanley Cup championship, NBA Finals, Final Four, Ryder Cup and just about every major sporting event this country has to offer.

While working in the sports department, I had been given the opportunity to do several different non-sports related assignments (i.e. work in the news department). I particularly found the morning show to be something that I always just had fun with. Lots of smiles and laughs, it was a forum that was for the most part, so fitting for me (all I really want to do in life is to laugh and have a good time).

In May, 2016 I made the move to morning news!!! Initially as a feature reporter and then quickly finding a home as co-host of "The Nine." A signature late morning talk show in Detroit that is informative, insightful and most of all, entertaining. I feel so fortunate to be able to be in your homes every morning!

Admittedly, I am not a traditional news man. I like to show personality and react to stories as I would if I was home watching. We joke around on the show that I am "a man of the people." But it’s true, I really do consider myself one of you! What you see is what you get with me. If you see me out and about please come say hello.
