DUNDEE, Mich. (WJBK) - At the Haunted Old Mill in Dundee, something is still roaming the basement and stairs and we got a first hand experience that so far can't be explained.
Ghosts haven't been scientifically proven but does that mean they're not real?
The old mill in Dundee has a storied past, which may be connected to it's recent paranormal activity. Specifically, it's who lived there before the mill was built: Native Americans.
"There is a burial ground, we aren't sure if there was one right here on the property, but out towards west county park there was a burial ground," tour guide Nancy Kanitz said.
In 2009, Nancy had a small but significant interaction.
"The one day I really remember, when I knew something was happening, I was getting ready to leave and I was going up these stairs to turn off the lights and I heard the bell on the door ring," she said.
Since then, paranormal researchers, and mill employees have picked up loads of unusual behavior
"We were in the banquet hall and we were making sure it was all straightened up, door tucked in, doors closed," Adam Wcislek said. "He says I dare you to move a table and all of a sudden the table slid 2 to 3 feet. We were all a little startled at that point
We even had some strange things happen when we were there. We were talking about walking over to a specific area when suddenly....we had an encounter.
Watch it happen in the video above. The Old Mill is open Friday through Monday from noon to 4 p.m. and haunted tours are every Friday night.
But if you're in for a real scare, the annual ghost hunting event Old Mille Parafest is November 4th.
