Flat Rock police arrested a 25-year-old suspect after he allegedly struck a woman and fled police with an infant in his car Wednesday.

According to Flat Rock police, officers were dispatched to an apartment complex near Gibraltar Road for reports of a kidnapping of a 4-month-old child.

When police arrived in the area, officers located the suspect vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. The suspect instead fled, and a pursuit was initiated on I-75. After the vehicle was lost, authorities managed to track down the suspect vehicle.
