FARMINGTON HILLS, MICH (Fox 2) - Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said a domestic situation that involved a man firing "a number" of shots into the ceiling and allegedly at," his wife in the area of 14 Mile and Middlebelt Roads.
"It's scary how quick people escalate and go to violence over something that has no reason to go to violence," Bouchard said. "Thankfully no one got hurt."
Bouchard spoke just after 10 p.m., saying that the man had locked himself inside of a house in the neighborhood and wouldn't respond to calls or texts. After awhile police used an armored tactical vehicle and "breached the door," which was enough to convince the suspect to surrender.
