Royal Starr Arts Institute Connecting Detroit Filmmakers

The Royal Starr Arts Institute hosts a filmmaker networking event in Royal Oak every month called the Filmmaker Community Mixer. It's scheduled on the second Tuesday of every month, and the next mixer takes place May 14th at Hamlin Corner, 386 N Main St., from 7-10 p.m. 

Admission is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring their business cards and headshots. They'll meet other filmmakers and film professionals from the Metro Detroit area, and multiple local directors will have casting tables for accepting headshots for upcoming films.
