Still no justice for woman, 7 months pregnant, shot 5 times in driveway

Pregnant and coming home from work, Bionka Lyons was gunned down in the street nearly two years ago. It's a tragedy that grabbed the attention of her neighbors, who want closure for the victim.

Bionka was coming home from work the night of August 24, 2016 around 11 p.m. She pulled to the home in the 10000 block of Crocuslawn Avenue. When the 21-year-old got out of the car, someone pulled up and opened fire. She was hit five times and was killed

She was seven months pregnant and worked for the U.S. Postal Service.

Back on the night of this unthinkable tragedy, coworker Lee Straughter quickly came to the neighborhood.

"She was only 21. Why would someone do this to a pregnant baby? She was a baby. She was a good girl," he told us.

Rallies have been held. Flyers have been passed out. But all this time, still no one has spoken up about what happened that night -- and why.

"If you can't step forward, and you got some information to say something about that? Shame on you. As far as I'm concerned, you pulled the trigger," said community activist Teferi Brent.

FOX 2 has checked in with Detroit Police and still, nearly two years later, investigators don't have a description of the suspect.

If you have any information about what happened to Bionka, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP. You will remain anonymous.
