2 killed, 1 in hurt in three crime scenes on same block on Detroit's west side

Across Detroit's east side, police were investigating three different crime scenes where two people were killed and one other was hurt, all just a few blocks away from each other.

Detroit Police tell FOX 2 there are three different scenes: one at 9600 block of Archdale, and two different scenes at Southfield and Orangelawn.

Police said on Archdale, a man was stabbed by another man in the area. The 29-year-old victim was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries, while the suspect was seen running away. The suspect in the stabbing is a 5'9" man with light complexion. Police said he has long hair, a goatee and may have be wearing glasses.

At Southfield and Orangelawn, a DTE worker called after seeing a man lying face down in the street. Police said the 30-year-old man had a gunshot to the chest and died. The suspect is on the run.

In the yard right next door, a man had been stabbed. It's not clear if the two crimes are related.

Police also said there was also a man killed on Mansfield, about 2 miles away from the first three crimes. The property manager says the house sitter looking after the home had left for work, leaving his little brother inside. It is not known at this time what happened to lead to the shooting, but police say an 18-year-old is being questioned.
