Detroit police are investigating a shooting involving a repo man that happened in the driveway of a home on the city's west side.

Police say the shooting happened Tuesday when a vehicle was being repossessed in the 19900 block of Stahalen, which is near Pembroke and Southfield. We're told the car owner allegedly approached the repossession agent with a knife, and the agent had a gun and fired shots.

We're told the car owner, a man in his 50s, was hit and is in the hospital in critical condition right now.

The agent stayed at the home and is cooperating with police. Police say he told them he is a CPL holder.
