Construction worker dies at Troy home in accident with saw
TROY, Mich. (WJBK) - A construction worker died on the job at a house in Troy Wednesday afternoon, according to Troy Police.
We're told the worker was removing an inground pool in the 600 block of Sylvanwood Drive when the accident happened, which is near Rochester and Long Lake roads. The worker had a portable saw and appears to have lost control. Police say the saw kicked back up and cut his throat.
The Oakland County Medical Examiner responded and police say the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police aren't sure how many other workers were present at the time. Police also haven't yet named the company that was working at the home.
The worker's name has also not yet been given.
We're told MIOSHA has been notified.
