UPS is celebrating one of its drivers for reaching a remarkable milestone. Tom Camp, 77, has been driving with UPS for 55 years, and never had an accident.

That broke the company's all-time safe driving record. And UPS surprised Camp Wednesday with a vintage truck dating back to the time he started his career, in 1962.

Camp has driven over a million miles for UPS and delivered more than five million packages.

He is also a big baseball fan and Tigers legend Al Kaline made a surprise appearance at today's event, giving Camp his very own jersey.

"It is an amazing record," Kaline said. "Someone that can drive on the road nowadays with the people on the road today that are anxious to get where they want to go. And to never have an accident and deliver, it is a rare feat in today's world."

Also in Camp's honor, Oct. 18 was declared Michigan Safe Driving Awareness Day via an official proclamation from Gov. Rick Snyder.
