2 killed in Taylor house explosion

TAYLOR, Mich. (WJBK) - The Taylor Fire Department says 2 people were killed in a house explosion Wednesday afternoon.

Officials were called to a home in the 6800 block of Buck in Taylor around 1:15 to the house explosion. 

Two people inside the house were killed, one from the blast and a second person at the hospital from their injuries.

The home is northwest of the intersection of Telegraph and Ecorse in Taylor.

Neighbors spoke to FOX 2 about the explosion.

"It was real loud like a bomb going off," said one man.

"There was a woman on the ground and they were trying to reseceestate her they were working hard," added another neighbor. 

The cause is unknown at this time.
