Police are investigating after a man peeped on women trying on clothes in a Target dressing room.

It happened last Friday at the Sterling Heights Target on Dequindre near Metro Parkway.

Police say two sisters caught the man, who reached over their dressing room door and started taking pictures with his cell phone.

"This is crazy," said shopper Zakya Anton. "Usually I check the fitting room before I do anything because these days you hear stories about cameras everywhere."

Police say the women got dressed right away and went to confront the man, but he realized he was caught and took off.

Surveillance video also captured him walking out and getting into a white Chevrolet Equinox.

Police were looking for the suspect, but Tuesday morning Sterling Heights Police say the man turned himself in overnight.

He is cooperating with police but his name is not yet being released, as charges are still pending.

"That's one reason why I don't use fitting rooms because you never know," said Latonya Howard. "I don’t trust any of them. I get it, buy it, take it home. If it doesn't work, I bring it back."

Female customers FOX 2 spoke to very uneasy about what happened - and to make things worse we've learned the suspect is accused of doing the same thing earlier that day at the Target in Auburn Hills.

Police are investigating if the suspect may have struck at any other Target locations.
