More than 27 percent of veterans from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are struggling to put food on the table for themselves and their loved ones. Today, Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar is on a mission to proudly serve one million free meals to neighborhood military heroes. Over the past decade the chain has served more than 8.9 million free meals to veterans and active duty servicemen and women.
