Best Ways to Wear Orange for World Kidney Day

World Kidney Day is Thursday March 10, a day aimed at raising awareness of the importance of our kidneys to our overall good health.

Lisa Schultz Jelic, Director of Development for the National Kidney foundation of Michigan, tells Fox2 she hopes to raise awareness and get the conversation going about kidney disease.
Kathy Remski from Macy's joined Fox2 News Morning Tuesday with different ways to incorporate orange in your wardrobe.

Everyone around the world is asked to wear some element of orange in their wardrobe on World Kidney Day to bring awareness to kidney disease and the fact that 70% of cases can be prevented by making healthy lifestyle choices.

National Kidney Foundation of Michigan's mission is to provide programs and services to help prevent kidney disease and to improve the quality of life for those living with it.

In Michigan there are more than 900,000 people with kidney disease, more than 15,000 people on dialysis and more than 2,700 waiting for a lifesaving kidney transplant.
