Local chapters of the Boy Scouts of America are scouting for clothes this weekend as part of a regional effort to help children in need.

Members of the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts of America and Scouts BSA, canvassed neighborhoods across Metro Detroit over the past few weeks announcing the need for clothing donations. They'll be picking up those donations today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and at 7 different drop-off locations throughout Metro Detroit.

Brent Mikulski, the president and CEO of Services to Enhance Potential (STEP), and Bob DeWar, field director with Boy Scouts of America, stopped by the Fox2 News studios Saturday morning with Bob's son, Bert, to discuss the effort.
