The upcoming cold weather inevitably means ice and snow is on the way, too. A Michigan couple has found a way to get rid of those elements in a more pleasant manner, which also helps those with breast cancer.

Troy and Linda Clogg created a de-icer that works well, and doesn't have the negative environmental effects some people associate with salt.

For the past six years, the Cloggs have donated the proceeds of their Hot Pink De-icer to families enduring a breast cancer diagnosis.

They joined us in studio to tell us more about their de-icer, and how humbling and rewarding its been to give to these families in need. You can hear from them in the video player above.

Hot Pink De-icer is sold in 50 lb. bags by the pallet or truckload to snow and ice management companies through Great Deal Products located in Brighton, Mich. You can learn more at www.hotpinkdeicer.com
