Dining Out For Life April 26
(WJBK) - Some restaurants are coming together to raise money for aids prevention and treatment.
When you eat at one of the participating restaurants on Thursday, April 26,, a portion of your bill will be donated to Matrix Human Services' Community Health Division. Funds raised support services, education and prevention for people who are high-risk, infected and/or affected by HIV or AIDS locally.
More than a dozen restaurants are participating. One of those is Kola, in Farmington Hills.
Kerrie Mitchell from Matrix and Chef Tony from Kola joined us in the FOX 2 Cooking School to tell us more about the event and their food. You can hear from them in the video player above, and get their recipe for vegetable soup here.
