FOX 2 forecast: prepare for babies this summer

(WJBK) - Some may say it's a little early to predict the summer forecast -- but the FOX 2 Weather Authority Team has accepted the challenge. 

Both Alan Longstreet and Derek Kevra are expecting babies this summer. They made the big announcement on The Nine -- which was even bigger than expected. 

Alan and his wife, Scarlett, are pregnant with twins! They will be welcomed by big sister, Holiday. 

Derek and his wife, Melissa, are expecting their second child in June -- a boy. He will also be welcomed by a big sister, Hadley.

"So, in June, when we're both gone for a month and there's no weather -- you know why," Alan joked on The Nine. He explained the twins are due in July, but the doctor told them to prepare for a June arrival as twins rarely reach a full-term pregnancy. 

"Send diapers to the studio," Derek finished. "We're going to need them."
