Hard Rock Detroit's Legendary Roop Raj

(WJBK) - Hard Rock Detroit is kicked off the season of giving by supporting community-based solutions to hunger for children and families worldwide. Hard Rock International, Yoko Ono Lennon and WhyHunger join forces for the eighth year of the IMAGINE THERE'S NO HUNGER campaign, which aims to fight childhood hunger and poverty through the support of sustainable agriculture education and nutritious meals.

Inspired by John Lennon and his iconic song "IMAGINE," the campaign strives to turn his dream of a world with no hunger into a reality. In support of that mission, the Hard Rock Cafe Detroit has debuted the Legendary Roop Raj.

The Legendary Roop Raj is a chicken breast marinated in barbeque sauce with shredded cheese, mayo, slice of onion, lettuce and tomatoe. Metro Detroiter's will be able to order it until December 31, 2015.  In addition to WhyHunger, proceeds of The Legendary Roop Raj will benefit Gleaner's Food Bank, an organization that distributed 34 million pounds of emergency food to more than 510 partner soup kitchens, shelters and pantries in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston, and Monroe counties in the past year.

The Legendary Roop Raj
A chicken breast
BBQ Sauce
Shredded Cheese
Mayo
Slice of Onion
Lettuce
Tomato
Hamburger bun

Marinate the chicken breast in BBQ sauce
Throw in on a grill and cook until chicken breast is fully done
While the chicken breast is still hot, melt the cheese on the chicken breast
Layer the top bun with mayo
Put a few slice of onion, lettuce and tomatoe

A portion of proceeds from the Legendary Roop Raj Sandwich will go to benefit Gleaner's Food Bank. This is going on until December 31, 2015.
