Lee Thomas returns to FOX 2 as entertainment reporter

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) - Many of you called and commented Thursday morning after seeing a surprising face on The Nine. So, to answer all of your questions -- yes, it is true! -- Lee Thomas is back. 

Lee will be back on The Nine every Thursday and Friday to continue his entertainment reporting.

"It's a niche that I'm very familiar with and happy with that you let me back on to cover entertainment here in Detroit," he says. "I've been doing it for 18 years," he adds under his breath. He promises he'll be "all over" the movies with celebrity interviews and that has some new things up his sleeve, too.

Lee says he's been enjoying the time off and has traveled a lot this summer. He went to Washington, D.C. and spoke on the steps of the capital for World Vitiligo Day on June 25.

"It was a big day in the world of Vitiligo," he says. "People from all over the world were there and all over the country, different support groups. I had a great time."

Lee also has a foundation that supports people with vitiligo, Clarity LTF. You can learn more about that at www.clarityltf.org.

"I did miss you guys, and thank you to everybody out there who showed me so much support," Lee added. "All the emails, the correspondence that I got, I can't tell you how much that was heartwarming and heartfelt and I just appreciate it."
