Smashing pumpkins event returns at Detroit Zoo

(WJBK) - The annual smashing pumpkin event at the Detroit Zoo returns this year on Wednesday, October 11 and Saturday, October 21. The animals will receive pumpkins filled with tasty trates to eat and play with.

FOX 2's Roop Raj takes us to the Detroit Zoo to see some of the animals in action. You can watch in the video player above.

Smashing pumpkins is free with admission, and will occur between 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on the specified days.
