Superhero autism activity day Jan. 19 in Farmington Hills

This weekend, superheroes are landing in Detroit for a special visit with the kids.

Superhero autism activity day is a special, sensory-friendly event for children with autism, in a safe and judgment-free zone.

It's from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19 at Costick Activities Center in Farmington Hills.

Dr. Steven Merahn, Chief Medical Officer with Centria Healthcare, joined us in studio to tell us more about the event. You can hear from him in the video player above.

The event is free but space is limited, so you're required to reserve tickets. For more information and to register, click here
