The third annual VegMichigan SummerFest is taking place on Sunday, August 5 at Madonna University in Livonia.The free, family-friendly event takes place from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and features a large selection of summertime eats such as burgers, ice cream, dogs and shakes - all plant-based, or vegan, meaning free of animal products. Nearly 60 food trucks and vendors including Anna's House, Ben & Jerry's, the Clean Plate, D'Vine Cookies, the Nosh Pit, Shimmy Shack and Urge Raw Juice will be at the event. Attendees also can enjoy shopping for unique vegan items, playing sand volleyball, carnival games, a bouncy house and more while being entertained by the Hines Drive Band and the award-winning Sun Messengers.
