Chef Godwin Ihentuge is bringing the flavors of West Africa and the Caribbean to Detroit. He has a pop-up food truck and catering business called Yum Village. In February, Yum Village plans to open a brick and mortar restaurant in Detroit.

He joined us on The Nine to tell us more about the food, and to show us how to make a variety of dishes.

You can hear from him in the video player above and get his recipes here: African lamb shanks and jollof deviled eggs; jollof rice balls; curry stuffed corn cakes.
