During an investigation, police also took two teens into custody, but they were released after police determined that they were not involved in the abduction, authorities said.
Police said the three other suspects who were involved fled on foot near 15 Mile and Van Dyke. Officers are still looking for them.
After the crash, police spent time investigating the victim's home, which was near the crash site.
Police said this crime was not random.
