DETROIT (FOX 2) - Detroit police were involved in another shooting Sunday night around 11 on the city's west side near Plymouth and Wyoming.
At first, details were minimal but we'd learned that a 27-year-old man was shot and was in the hospital in stable condition.

27-year-old man in custody after officer-involved shooting on Detroit’s west side
Detroit police have arrested a 27-year-old man who was shot by officers on the city's west side. He's in stable condition and was taken to the hospital as a precaution. The incident took place around 11 p.m. Sunday night near Plymouth and Wyoming.
Later on Monday, Chief Craig held a press conference to address the shooting and the uptick of violence in the city.
Craig said officers were in the area Sunday night working on a detail related to stunt driving when they saw a man with a gun sticking out of the waistband of his pants.
The officers pulled over, got out of the car and began to approach the man and Craig said he began to run.
Officers ran after the man and, Craig said, after they turned a corner one officer fired between 5-6 rounds, hitting the suspect several times. A gun was recovered near where the suspect went down.
Craig said body cam footage from the officers shows the shooting, but the video has not yet been released from the department.
