6-year-old seriously hurt in Sterling Heights crash

A 6-year-old boy suffered serious injuries in a four-vehicle crash in Sterling Heights over the weekend.

Police said the Shelby Township boy was a passenger in a Chevrolet Cruze that was traveling south on Dequindre when they crossed into oncoming traffic near Roseann Drive at 5:15 p.m. Sunday. The Cruze hit a Chevrolet Suburban, causing the Suburban to hit a Chevrolet Traverse that was in the northbound lane.

The Cruze then hit the back of a Subaru Forester that was also on northbound Dequindre. 

The boy who was injured is currently hospitalized in serious but stable condition. All other drivers and passengers were treated at the scene or treated and released from a hospital.
