7-year-old dies after being hit by car at St. Clair Shores park, driver cooperating

ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. (FOX 2) - St. Clair Shores Police are investigating after a 7-year-old was hit and killed by a car at a park in the city Tuesday afternoon.

According to police, just after 3 p.m., they were called to a crash involving a 7-year-old at Blossom Heath Park. 

Police said when they arrived, the child was still alive and was rushed to the hospital but was later pronounced dead.

The cause is still under investigation and the car involved has been impounded. Police said all parties involved are cooperating with the investigation.
