Active shooter reported at Air Force Base hospital near Dayton, OH
DAYTON, OH (Mich.) - Emergency crews are responding to the scene of a reported active shooter near an air force base around Dayton, Ohio.
According to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, base emergency responders responded to reports of an incident in the Wright-Pratt Hospital around 12:40 p.m. Thursday. Those emergency responders included the fire department and security forces.
The base says personnel have been directed to shelter in place as the investigation continues.
"Our first priority in any emergency incident is to protect the men and women at Wright-Patt. Our base security forces defenders and fire department personnel are trained to quickly assess situations and take necessary action," the base said.
