Alex Trebek ‘Jeopardy!’ stamps to be released this summer

The late Alex Trebek is the latest historic American figure to be honored with a U.S. postage stamp.
The stamp will be released on July 22, on what would have been the iconic game show host's 84th birthday.
Trebek died at the age of 80 in 2020 after a pancreatic cancer diagnosis. He had hosted the show since 1984.
The show’s current host Ken Jennings announced the stamp with a peek at what it will look like.

The stamp is a nod to the classic look of the blue ‘Jeopardy!’ game board, with each stamp looking like one of the answer squares.
The signature white-on-blue text reads, "This naturalized U.S. citizen hosted the quiz show ‘Jeopardy!’ for 37 seasons."
Underneath, upside down, is the correct response, "Who is Alex Trebek?" next to the words "Forever USA."
Trebek was born in 1940 in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. He moved to the U.S. in 1973 and became a U.S. citizen in 1997.
The forever stamps will cost $14.60 for a book of 20.
The price of a forever stamp is increasing from 68 cents to 73 cents on July 14, 2024.
