Ypsilanti police say rape and robbery suspect is on the run, possible out of state
A manhunt is underway for 18-year-old Andrew Najib Jimenes Vasquez, who police say followed a woman, sexually assaulted, and robbed her in the 1100 block of Washtenaw Ave in Ypsilanti.
YPSILANTI, Mich. (FOX 2) - UPDATE: The Ypsilanti Police Department announced that Andrew Najib Jimenes Vasquez has been arrested on Monday.
Police say Vasquez, 18. followed a woman, sexually assaulted, and robbed her in the 1100 block of Washtenaw Ave in Ypsilanti.
Investigators had feared that Jimenes Vasquez fled the state of Michigan shortly after becoming aware that he was wanted for this incident, police said.
