Another freeway shooting reported, state police investigate

Michigan State Police are investigating after a woman says she was shot at on an area freeway overnight.

A woman came to the MSP post in Taylor on Telegraph around 11:50 p.m. Tuesday saying her car was struck on the driver's side door. The woman was not injured.

Investigators did discover damage from what's believed to be a single shot, but so far have not been able to find any other evidence.

Police immediately went to the area to investigate, closing down eastbound I-94 near I-275.

Police are investigating if this shooting could be connected to a series of shootings earlier this month on December 7.

Two cars were shot at on I-94 near Gratiot, and two others on I-96 near Livernois. One man was struck in the leg.

Fourth victim linked to same Detroit freeway shooter

Police have said a possible suspect's vehicle connected to the four other shootings is a gray Impala.

Police have not yet said if this most recent reported shooting is connected.

I-94 near I-275 has since been reopened.
