DETROIT (WJBK) - The man accused of gunning down his coworker inside a Detroit barber shop is behind bars. He turned himself in over the weekend.
Police say he shot and killed 36-year-old Leon Webb during a dispute Thursday at The Final Kut barber shop on Seven Mile and Littlefield.
Webb returned fire, but had been hit several times. He died at the hospital.
Monday night, Webb's family and other coworkers came together at the barber shop to celebrate his life.
Many lit candles and shared memories.
"He was 36 years old, and he was a father; he was a brother; he was a son. And he was loved," said Love Webb, Leon's sister.
"It ain't necessary to kill nobody (sic)," said his father, Leon Hunter. "You've got humiliation and false pride causes you to take another life."
We're told the man accused of killing Webb could be arraigned as early as Tuesday.
Police haven't said what the men were arguing about.
