AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (WJBK) - Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band's concert this fall will be the final event at The Palace of Auburn Hills, Palace Sports & Entertainment announced Thursday.
The concert is scheduled for Saturday, September 23. A limited number of tickets still remain for the concert.
Palace Sports & Entertainment didn't immediately announce any plans regarding the future of the building or property.
Since its inception and first event -- a sold-out concert by Sting on August 13, 1988 -- The Palace has hosted practically every major concert act touring the last 29 years.
Seger and his Silver Bullet Band have played a major part of the venue’s storied history. They've played a total of 16 shows dating back to 1996. That year, he played a string of six sold out dates (March 10th, 12th and 14th and on May 3rd, 5th and 7th), setting a venue record for most sellouts during the same tour.
If the September concert sells out, it will mark the legendary performer’s 17th sellout at The Palace, setting a record for most sold out concerts at the venue.
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s “Soul2Soul The World Tour 2017” now stands as The Palace’s penultimate event on Friday, September 8. A limited number of tickets for that concert are still available.
You can purchase tickets for either concert by visiting Livenation.com, Palacenet.com, The Palace Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations. Tickets may also be charged by phone to American Express, Discover, Visa and MasterCard by calling 800.745.3000.
