Body found in middle of Detroit road overnight

DETROIT (WJBK) - Police in Detroit are investigating after a body was found in the road overnight. 

Police aren't sure right now how they body got there. They're investigating if the person could have been hit by a car, or if someone dumped the body in the road. 

Police were called to the corner of Rutherford and Plymouth around 3:30 a.m. after the body was discovered. 

Police haven't given the victim's name but say he is a black man in his 50s. 

If you were in the area at the time and heard or saw anything suspicious, you're asked to call Detroit Police.
