Car involved in drive-by shooting split in half in severe crash

Three people have been seriously hurt in a car crash after a drive-by shooting Saturday.

Someone fired several shots into a 2002 Chevy Cavalier near Shaefer and Seven Mile early Saturday morning, according to Detroit police.

The driver lost control and smashed into a utility pole.

The crash was so severe it split the car in half.

The two men and one woman in the car are in critical condition.

Police said no one has been arrested.
