Comerica Park food service worker charged with felony for spitting on pizza

A food service worker at Comerica Park is facing a felony charge after a video surfaced of a worker spitting on a pizza he was preparing. 

Jaylon Kerley, 20, is facing one count of Food Law Violations, a four-year felony, and one count of Food Law Violations, a 90-day misdemeanor. 

Prosecutors say Kerley was captured on video spitting on a pizza he was preparing. The incident was reported to the police by the head of security at Comerica Park. The video was recorded by a coworker. 

Kerley was arrested on September 23 and also has been fired. He is expected to be arraigned on the charges sometime later Tuesday morning.
