DETROIT (FOX 2) - Last night at MGM Grand Detroit, during the Howie Mandel and Arsenio Hall comedy show, a local man was called on stage for a special moment in which he proposed to his girlfriend.
Steve Olechowski, 52 from Harrison Township, has been dating Dora Danielski, 44 of Clinton Township, for the past three years. Having set it up beforehand, Olechowski was called on stage by Mandel for the big proposal.
Mandel and Hall cracked some jokes at Steve’s expense but allowed him to get down on one knee and pop the big question, and Danielski said yes.
Olechowski works for Ford Motor Company and has one daughter while Danielski works as a cosmetologist and has three daughters of her own.
Danielski said that her fiancé was ‘nervous throughout the day,' but she didn’t expect what was to come.
Olechowski said he was hoping to create a memory of a lifetime, and it certainly was as members of the audience congratulated them throughout the night. After the show, the couple, who attended the show with Dora’s sister, two brothers and their respective spouses, made their way to the casino floor where congratulations followed.
