Customer shot in face by masked gunmen outside store

DETROIT - A man was critically wounded by a masked gunman who shot him in the face.

Detroit police say that two men wearing masks with long guns approached a man outside the Wagon Train Food Market, on Warren Avenue and Chatham at about 9:30 p.m. Friday.

Police say it was an attempted robbery in the parking lot customer was sitting inside his car was shot in the face by one of the suspects.

The shooting happened during the holdup. Both suspects are at large with no description given by police.

The victim is now in the hospital.
