Dearborn man dies in electric bicycle crash on New Year's Eve
DEARBORN, Mich. (FOX 2) - A Dearborn man has died after a bicycle crash on New Year's Eve morning.
On Dec. 31, at 11 a.m., Dearborn police say they were called out to an electric bicycle crash on Schaefer Rd and Colson. Investigators say the bicyclist, a 40-year -old man from the area, lost control while riding on Schaefer and struck a utility pole.
Police say the man was not wearing a helmet or any protective gear when the crash happened.
He was taken to the hospital where he later died.
The cause of death has not been determined as of Tuesday afternoon.
