Dearborn pools free for residents this week

From now through Friday, Dearborn residents can swim for free at the city's pools.

The city's mayor announced Tuesday that Dunworth and Ford Woods pools are free amid this week's heat wave. The city's other three pools are closed this summer for extensive renovations.

A resident day swimming pass for those 14 and older is usually $10 at Dunworth and $8 at Ford Woods. Seasonal pool tags are available as well. The free swimming does not apply to non-residents; they will still have to pay $12 to $15 to swim.
