ROMULUS, Mich. (FOX 2) - Access to Detroit Airport has been restored after road flooding cut off travel options to the McNamara terminal Thursday.
DTW said that access to the McNamara Terminal had reopened after flooding had blocked travel between it and the Evans Terminal via the south tunnel. Both it and the north terminal are now open.
Floodwaters had blocked access and trapped some people at DTW Thursday morning after severe storms soaked southern Wayne County, The FAA has listed a ground stop, but said a ground delay would be in effect until 10 p.m. at DTW.

McNamara Tunnel flooded
Tunnels to the McNamara Terminal at Detroit Metro Airport are flooded. A FOX 2 viewer took this video around 7 a.m. Thursday.
Customers with flights from this terminal should contact their airlines with questions about their flight status, the airport said.
A route to the airport, I-275, is closed in both directions at I-94 due to flooding.

Additionally, the I-94 ramps to and from Metro Airport North Entrance is still closed
Romulus isn't the only area impacted by road flooding. Numerous roads around the area are covered with water after heavy rain.
