Detroit Police Department, DMC, and Wayne County Prosecutor's Office Team Up for 'Work Better Together 5K'

The Detroit Police Department and the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office have joined forces to host the inaugural "Work Better Together 5K" event. Partnering with the Detroit Medical Center’s Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan, the 5K aims to support the wellness programs of both departments. Proceeds from the event will go directly toward improving the health and well-being of the brave men and women who serve in these critical roles.

Detroit police are investigating a triple shooting that happened early Friday evening in the city's Dexter-Linwood neighborhood.

The department confirmed the shooting happened around 6:30 p.m. in the 2700 block of west Davison.

Three adult men suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The circumstances around the shooting are unknown. It happened inside a marijuana dispensary, police later told FOX 2's Jessica Dupnack. It's unclear if the facility had an operating license.
