Detroit police release photo of suspect wanted in shooting of teen sitting in car on east side

One of the three shooting suspects was caught on Green Light cameras.

The Detroit Police Department is seeking information from the community regarding a non-fatal shooting.

A 17-year-old teen boy was shot inside his car at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, in the area of E. Warren and Buckingham.

Police say three male suspects approached the 17-year-old sitting in his gray Chevy Malibu and shots were then fired, striking him.

The victim was able to flee the scene in his vehicle and was treated at a local hospital for his injuries.

Detroit police say the suspects are described as three juvenile males, all wearing hooded sweatshirts. One suspect was captured on Green Light Video from a nearby store.
