Detroit rapper shot and killed on city's west side

DETROIT (WJBK) - A Detroit rapper has been fatally shot on the city's west side.

A rapper who is "well-known" to the city, according to police, was found shot to death near the area Stoepel and Westfield, a block from Livernois.

The victim has not been identified. Numerous online posts and residents in the area claim that the victim is the artist known as Doughboy Roc. This has not been confirmed by police.

The victim was shot inside a white Hyundai and pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

There is no information about a suspect at this time.
