Shooting leaves 1 person dead on Detroit's west side
DETROIT (FOX 2) - One person was killed in a shooting on the Southfield Freeway Service Drive between St. Martin and Pembroke avenues in Detroit, according to police.
The shooting took place on Thursday, before 4 p.m. The victim was pronounced dead at an area hospital, according to Detroit police. No suspects are in custody at this time.
Multiple rapid shots were fired. It's unclear if the suspect and victim were in a vehicle or on foot.
The Southfield Freeway Service Drive is temporarily shut down, heading northbound, as police investigate.
