Detroit Tigers host annual career day for students

DETROIT (WJBK) - The Detroit Tigers hosted their annual Career Day Wednesday.

The event gave hundreds of local students a chance to see what kind of opportunities are available at the ballpark and beyond.

Although the baseball team is wrapping up the season, some young high school students are beginning to consider what they want to do when they grow up.

A few of the featured speakers were Trevor Thompson from FOX Sports Detroit to talk about careers in sports broadcasting and media as well as Sam Menzin, the director of baseball operations for the Tigers.

FOX 2's Amy Andews was there to speak with them and others who were there, watch the video to learn more about the big day at the ball park.
